Property Tax Incentive Program

On average, Millburn-Short Hills residents have the second highest property taxes in New Jersey. I would like to ease that tax burden while also bolstering the Millburn-Short Hills downtown shopping district.

I propose to do this through a local property tax reward program. A property tax reward program would be a Millburn Township supported development program providing property tax credits as incentive to residents for shopping locally. Once registered, residents would use a rewards card and accumulate property tax credits every time they shop at participating businesses in Millburn-Short Hills. Renters can also participate and would get a cash rebate check in lieu of property tax credits. Local businesses benefit from the program because of increased patronage.

As a community leader I always look at issues holistically to develop collaborative solutions - my property tax incentive program is a win for residents and business!
